Can love also dehypnotize us?
Love can seem like everything.
Lovers can capture our whole attention. Lovers can mesmerize us.
The Truth of Love doesn’t make us obsessive, demanding, or miserable.
Love frees us in every sense.
As you know I write about Love not just in the romantic sense, but in the wholeness of it. If you follow this blog you know how much I value our heart.
This post is about the search and discernment for truth through the heart of our humanity.
Truth is not a belief.
A belief can be an opinion, we accept as true, but it is not necessarily based on knowledge, fact, or experience. Beliefs may be practical, however, are not necessarily based on reality or absolute truth.
In hindsight, I now see that the more I searched for truth, the more 'I' got caught up in my thoughts. The more ‘my’ search was to ease the turmoil within, the further from Truth I got. What has brought truth closer is the sincerity of my heart.
We each have a truth and then there is Truth. Truth is freeing. I have to be honest about where I am in that process, journey, or evolution. Many thoughts and questions arise such do I truly want freedom not just for myself but for everyone? The answer is affirmative and there is a common denominator at this point in my evolution that emerges. “Love yourself and others beyond enough.”
I can always love myself and others more. “We’ can always practice loving more. The goal is not enough self-love. There is always at least one more way in my life to practice self- love. Greater self-love allows me to recognize love from and of others as well as from Source.
“I had been searching for truth, but it is strange to say that as long as the searcher was there, truth was not found. And when the truth was found, I looked all around... I was absent. When the truth was found, the seeker was no more; and when the seeker was, truth was nowhere.”

I suppose one could say it is a belief.
Only for the sake of this belief, I would not allow it to cloud my heart’s voice and wisdom.
Historically and across many cultures worldwide, the heart has been ‘metaphorically’ linked to wisdom and spiritual insight. Recently, science is finding evidence that there is a basis to the heart being the source of these.
Researchers at the Heart Math Institute (HMI) say the heart’s intrinsic network of nerves essentially function like a little brain. This little brain gives the heart an ability to independently sense, process information and make decisions.
So which brain truly discerns Truth from falsehood?
Well, are hallucinations and delusions of the mind or heart?
According to the science's ongoing and emerging research of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, hallucinations appear to be generated by the brain. In the field of mental health, clinicians must differentiate between hallucinations and delusions. Delusions are deeply held beliefs that are solidified by individuals despite contrary evidence or information. A hallucination is an experience involving the apparent perception of something not present.
Beliefs are of the mind-brain. All of us may be susceptible to hallucinations and delusions.
It may be possible that 'beliefs' can create hallucinations, delusions or hypnotic states.
How is it that our beliefs can create a hypnotic or hallucinogenic state of mind?
Given the right environment , our beliefs can drive us to think, act and behave inhumanely.
Fear and doubt are fertile soil for beliefs. Our minds are susceptible to beliefs. Beliefs certainly don’t have to be rational. The less experience we have, the closer we are to belief. The more experience we have, the closer we are to knowledge, but knowledge is not absolute Truth.
Our beliefs don’t have to be proven or verified. We are able to accept something as true whether we are informed, educated or not. Fear and doubt is not socially, economically or culturally selective.
Out of fear we will resist discomfort by believing that which temporarily suits us as it soothes our suffering. Out of doubt we will avoid cognitive dissonance by holding onto beliefs even when there is overwhelming evidence of the contrary.
Fear or doubt can influence us to seek social supporters or evangelise to strengthen faltering beliefs.
Given enough doubt or fear deeply held beliefs may give rise to ‘auto hypnotic experience.’
As they say things are not always as they seem. Persistence and enthusiasm about beliefs may make someone a strong advocate or seem confident but it does not mean it is love based.
Our heart's wisdom can discern falsehood from truth. It is why people say 'follow your heart.'
Most religions point to the Truth, but also devalue other religions by saying they are the only way to God. It can be hard to understand that having an experience of God while in a religious organization doesn’t mean that God is only there. People seem prone to believe they have met God through their religion or church, but we don’t meet God. There is no God to meet as there is only godliness.
Regardless of religious or spiritual path, faith, Love/Truth is not something we have to prove.
What I knew in my heart as a child, is that God loves us all. I also believed that religion separated us more than it united us. I still believe this. Because language is how we communicate, we refer to God as external to us. While I also refer to God, Spirit, Source as external, God is all present, knowing and powerful.
We can have a philosophy about love, but, Love is more than a philosophy or belief.
Love is so much more than beliefs or a state of mind.
Every living being has the potential of godliness. All of us made of Love. All of us whether aware of it or not - are divine luminous beings.
It is time we dehypnotize ourselves.
The Truth doesn’t need to be defended, advocated or even shared.
Love is a presence that is felt. The Truth speaks without words as it shines bright. It radiates from our heart.
If we as a humanity want to live authentically in harmony, we must intentionally do so from our hearts. Our heart’s coherence moves us as whole and allows us to shift our planet’s consciousness.
How are you discerning love and truth in your life?
