In one word:
What does money represent for me?
More money equates to freedom to do more of what I want when I want.
We live in an abundant Universe and yet there seems to be an imbalance of wealth in much of the world. Why have we been unable to redistribute or share in the abundance of wealth?
I do not know the answer to this. I just know that there is a wide gap between those who have and those that have very little. I also know that in some parts of the world corruption has given way to war and long standing conflicts.
So why does a writer of love bring up money? Because I write about the Truth as ultimate freedom. Through my writing I hope to ignite the dormant yet powerful part in us.
This post is an expression of something that has been in my heart's mind for a long time.
I have questioned our humanity ever since I can remember. When we are children we do not know the intricacies of how our world operates, yet we can feel and see the outcomes of it.
Each summer as a child when my mom would take us to Mexico to visit family I often saw hungry children begging on the streets. I would feel so sad. It is then the questioner within arose. I asked myself why the adults in the world were allowing such sadness to occur.
Our history reveals that we've been seduced by the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
We've been sold on the idea that money offers us power, freedom and even happiness.
Our deep and true desire as a humanity for Freedom is very present. It is why the construct that money is power and freedom sells.
What about our humanity and basic human rights? There is no equality in our economic system. Or is there?
Is there equality in any economic system?
Economic systems create hierarchy which means there is no equality in this type of system.
Hierarchies have a chain of command and thus create control of the majority.
We have to ask ourselves if we are truly evolving as a humanity.
We may not live in caves protecting ourselves from predators, but there is a predatory partnership between government and business. This predatory partnership extracts wealth at almost any cost. It seems we have not come a long way in our evolution as a human race.
In pursuit of happiness, we've pursued money and it seems we've created a mess and not very loving things/energy.
We have to some extent created illness including mental illness that while we wish didn’t exist we have also profited from. In pursuit of bettering our lives we risk others lives. We don't think that we endanger others because we think more than we feel. Our disconnection from our hearts have allowed us to subject ourselves and others to violence. The truth is everything is interconnected- so every thought and action impacts us all.
There are long lists of regulations, laws and other impediments to complete voluntary transactions in the economy. A real free market economy would mean that all property, good and services were privately owned.
Since money runs our lives - of course we want more of it! Without money we barely survive and it is virtually impossible to thrive.
Our humanity helps us to see clearly and to desire all good things for all. It is the opposite of what greed does to us if we let it.
Greed blinds us. When we believe that we can achieve happiness and freedom through money we choose to overlook the cruel mess all around us. I know I won’t make sense of it because the heart cannot wrap itself around this. Greed doesn't just blinds us, it clouds our true power.
I'm not sure why 'the majority' hasn't been able to say ‘enough,’ over the course of our human and economic history. I’m not advocating violent revolt or even peaceful protesting. I am just wondering when enough of us will rise up to suggest other ways to live in authentic harmony. Can we join together to genuinely dialogue and bring forth true freedom for all?
So long as we are alive everyone of us has something to offer. Am I saying a simple barter system or exchange of goods and services is the solution? I do not have an ideal solution, but maybe someone out there stumbling upon this -does have humane ideas that could work.
We are so busy surviving or pursuing our dreams that we forget the collective desire for peace on earth. The real solution is not more money or power through force or fear. If it were something would have changed by now. So long as we continue wanting more money even if it is for all loving reasons -we perpetuate the cycle of separation.
We don’t have to be mesmerized by the false promise that money is freedom.
It- money may give us some personal freedom, but it does not liberate us especially not collectively!
Each of us holds a deeply loving force within our hearts to help awaken others to our beautiful humanity.
Our spirits are free and yet collectively enslaved as a humanity so long as there is disparity in all facets of life and violence in the world.
So long as we believe that the obtainment of money is the key to our happiness, dreams and freedom - we will continue to dehumanize ourselves.
In one word:
Love is thee collective currency in our heart.
This collective currency only accepts peaceful and harmonious transactions. This 'collective currency' does not align or accept anything other than true freedom.
This heart currency doesn’t just redistribute wealth, it reveres all life as sacred. This love in our hearts voids the need for money and all that goes with it because it knows we are all part of One family.
So then is money the problem and solution?
Money is neutral and of itself, not evil. In the world of duality money takes on the vibration of he or she that holds it. Even when we don’t partake in cruel, inhumane acts - we sustain falsehood by not contributing to a true solution.
Money is not the solution to our problems nor the problem.
If 'we' think more money is the key to our freedom and happiness on earth then we are colluding with a system set to enrich a few.
Our streets and our state of affairs speak for themselves. Our transactions with or without currency aren't all "tender."
We are encouraged to spend money and acquire debt to make us happier or more fulfilled.
You have no debt? Great, but collectively, as a nation we owe too much.
How different things would be if our transactions were heart based.
Can you imagine how different our lives would be if we all had equal wealth? If we didn’t depend on how much money we had in a bank account, how would that feel?
What would we exchange for goods and services? Our gifts and talents - just as we do now. Perhaps, we would put more value on certain things, but no one would be left behind if we took care of each other like true brothers and sisters.
Imagine a world that lives in true communal harmony extending its kindness to all beings. Imagine a world where people do not just co-exist but truly thrive in joy.
Collectively we can do so much.
I ground my vision for a loving and peaceful world in seeds of trust and water of hope. I’m holding a vision of a world that doesn’t need to be reminded of certain inalienable human rights.
I am optimistic and hopeful that our thirst for harmony as a humanity is on the verge of greater fruition.
Do you believe our collective currency is in our heart?
What is your unique gift and are you truly sharing it?
